Since re-opening our doors, after the grand £6mill refurbishment, we’ve not only re-styled our appearance, we’ve re-defined hospitality. We call it ‘Hospitality from the Heart’. We’re not just a place to stay, dine or visit, we’re a community.
Our ethos is simple: it starts with our ‘can do’ culture and (hopefully) ends with happy memories for our visitors. We also believe in giving something back. Here’s some of the ways we do that:
Our neighbours.
We love to create partnerships with local suppliers and people in our community. We’ve held Easter egg hunts for local schools, supported artists and wherever possible we source ingredients from producers on our doorstep. Check out Bucks Brothers Gin! It’s nice to be neighbourly!
Our charity.
We support the homelessness charity CRISIS with a unique coffee lounge in one of our meeting areas. It was designed by volunteers using up-cycled, antique materials like vintage headboards. Even the coffee served in the lounge includes a 15% donation back to CRISIS. We've given over £5000 so far! We’re a hotel with 160 beds and we simply hope to be a small part of giving someone else a bed.
Our environment.
We’re custodians of 38 acres of countryside and while we encourage our guests to pull on their wellies and explore it, we also want to attract slightly fuzzier visitors. With the re-wilding of flower meadows, we hope to attract more pollinators to our landscape. So if you see a bumble bee, say hello from us.
